APOKALUPSIS | 003 | The Time is at Hand




Time is the most important resource on planet earth. Everything that exists on its surface has a beginning and an end. The wise king Solomon says, "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the sun." (Ecclesiastes 3:1) God's prophecies are made up of three notable features:

  1. An event
  2. The time of the event
  3. The purpose of the event
The book of Revelation was given to Jesus by His Father "...to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass..." (Revelation 1:1) Everything God does in the book of Revelation is for this one reason - to "...save his people from their sins." (Matthew 1:21) Every event, every admonition, every exhortation is to fulfill this grand purpose.

Said the apostle Paul:
"And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof." (Romans 13:11-14)

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. (Revelation 1:3)

The book of Revelation reveals to us what will come to pass from John's time right up to the re-creation of planet Earth, when Satan and all wicked people have been put out of existence. 

He who reads, hear and keep the sayings of this book has a light in the growing darkness of the world. He will be fully aware of what's going on around him while the rest of the world are under the deceptions of the devil. The fulfillment of events will fill him with the blessed hope that the second coming of Jesus draws near. Like a man who waits for the 07:00am bus, he will stand ready at the bus stop, at the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing. 

The prophecies of the Revelation are being fulfilled around us one after the other. I pray that the Lord will give you wisdom to discern these events so you can prepare yourself for the blessed hope of the second coming of Jesus.

The Order of Melchizedek

The name Melchizedek has often sparked interesting discussions in some gatherings I've attended. Off the top of my head, the Genesis story said that he was met by Abraham and that he was the king of Salem and a priest of God. What's so interesting about this Priest King? Let's find out.
